The double room was beautifully decorated and new-fashioned, with a mini-fridge-bar, an air conditioning and an individual safe. Location: the hotel was adjacent to the monastery, the 3 monks who still live there, the restaurant and bar, and which produces reasonable wines.

A historical gem with challenges
Staying here was a delight, with a fine library that transported me through history and spacious rooms that offered unparalleled comfort. Each morning started with a good buffet.
The dining experience left something to be desired, as the menu lacked variety, and lunch was never a suitable option for lighter appetites. The bar area felt quite stark.

Excellent historical ambiance and excellent food
The experience of staying in a restored Dominican monastery was captivating, with the hotel's fine library providing a unique spot to unwind amidst rich history. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with luxurious towels and a powerful shower. We were impressed by the restaurant's menu, especially the beautifully presented turbot en papillote, showcasing the use of local ingredients. One area for improvement would be to offer a wider selection of drinks at the bar.

missingWrote a review on 03 Augfine librarylarge roomsunique architectureaustere atmosphere
Large and luxurious rooms with fine views down the valley create a tranquil atmosphere. The hotel's interior boasts unique architectural features, including remnants of the original cloisters and an excellent library filled with diverse books, perfect for a relaxing afternoon.
The bar area feels too austere, lacking the cozy ambiance often expected in hotel lounges, which detracts from a more inviting experience. Guests may find the dining experience inconsistent, with limited menu options that sometimes fall short of expectations. Breakfast, in particular, could offer a wider variety. Issues with air conditioning have been reported, leaving rooms feeling warmer than desired at times, and the dining service during busy hours may lead to longer wait times than anticipated.

The historic setting captivates with its fascinating architecture, and the spacious room provided a comfortable retreat. The dining experience demonstrated a commitment to local cuisine, notably with the enjoyable asturian fare, reflecting the region's rich culinary traditions. The interior felt a bit dark and unwelcoming. Service during peak hours was inconsistent.

Had a blast with my friends! We loved exploring the nearby Casa del Parque de Fuentes Narcea, perfect for hiking and biking adventures. The room was spacious and offered beautiful views. Don't miss the daily Parador tour to learn about its history and visit the church at a small fee.
One downside was the inconsistent dining experience. Our dinner at the bar had slow service, disappointing compared to the great food we had at lunch.
